Falcon Club of America National Convention to be held in Springfield, MO
July 10–12, 2008

The Falcon Club of America will hold their 29th National COnvention in Springfield, Missouri July 10–12, 2008. The Falcon automobile was manufactured by Ford Motor Company from 1960–1970. The Falcon Club of America was founded by Roy Sword of Arkansas in 1979 and numbers 3000 members worldwide.

Approximately 200 Falcons of all years, models and styles are expected to attend the National Convention in July. From pristine original models to seriously modified street legal performance machines and race cars, the Falcons will include sedans, convertibles, station wagons, hardtops, vans and sedan delivery vehicles. Some of the very nicest preserved Falcons in the country will be in attendance.

Several local FCA Chapters are hosting the meet,, which will take place at the Springfield Oasis Hotel including the Founder’s Chapter (Arkansas), Wheat State Chapter (Kansas), Sooner State Chapter (Oklahoma City), Gateway Chapter (St. Louis, MO) and Mid America Chapter (Kansas City).

Various actiities are planned for attendees, along with the display of the Falcons. A trip to Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Museum is planned, and shuttles will carry shoppers from the hotel to the Battlefield Mall. A trip for the Falcons to the Ozark International Raceway dragstrip is planned for Friday night.

The Regional Meet in October, 2007 was the kick-off event for the 29th Falcon National Convention.
